On September 1, the average price of SMM 10-12% high-grade NPI was 941.5 yuan/mtu (ex-factory, tax included), up 1 yuan/mtu from the previous working day. The market sentiment factor for high-grade NPI stood at 2.44, up 0.01 MoM. Entering September, improved macro sentiment coupled with peak season expectations has boosted market quotation activity, while smelter cost lines remain firm. High-grade NPI prices are expected to continue rising.
